SPS performance did a one day test in Hockenheim on Thursday, operating both of the 2009 Porsche 911GT3 from this years Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season. Both cars are back in pure white original color and ready to race.
SPS will support these two cars in 2010 as well, but going a little further and doing that in South Africa in the GT Challenge. First race will be in February on Phakisa Raceway. Before that race there will be two test days on the same race track.
For the Hockenheim test the South African drivers Sun Moodley and Bryant van der Merwe were behind the steering, supported by Lance-David Arnold. The SPS driver Arnold explained the technical side of the 2009 GT3 Cup, along with the driving behavior of the car. For Moodley and van der Merwe it was the first drive on Hockenheim Grand Prix circuit and also the first time in a left hand drive race car.
The test day in Hockenheim was very successful, surrounded by nice weather, exceptional for the end of November.
Lance-David Arnold will also race one of the two cars in the Phakisa race in February.
